Art Gallery and Small Gallery 23 August - 20 September
An exhibition of prints and print techniques created by the Highland Print Studio

Drawing workshop with Dean Melville Saturday 6 September 10am – 4pm
£ 30 per person

This workshop is designed to offer students a variety of ways of understanding and doing drawing.  We will use imagery that is directly around us as a starting point, as this exhibition lends itself really well to the study of the drawn line.  We will  explore the use of marking techniques and look at how this relates to each individual's approach to their subject.  All aspects of picture making will be covered - composition, proportion, scale, tone, perspective, etc. This class will be beneficial to both the complete beginner and the more experienced artist.  It will book up fast so phone  01463 237114 soon to book your place!

China - Eve Arnold

Art Gallery 1 - 29 November (closing date tbc)
American photojournalist Eve Arnold was one of the first western photographers to enter communist China. She made her visit in 1979, at a time when its government was opening up to the outside world, and the exhibition shows a remarkable set of 40 of photos from this trip.  The images are a candid look at the country and its people and range from militia training in Mongolia and rice gleaning in Hsishuang Panna, to performing artists and noodle making.

Medieval Archaeology Walk
